Perfect for Pentium 4 systems
Pros
Well built. Great cooling. Tons of room. Nice looking.
Cons
Wish it was less expensive, but it IS worth the money
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Probably the last case you'll ever buy! I have no complaints at all.
I needed to upgrade my old case after I upgraded to an ASUS mother board with a Pentium 4 3.0GHz CPU. This is the hottest running CPU I know of and my old case was too cramped to allow adequate cooling. I had to remove one side panel whenever I was doing processor intensive work.
I looked at the ANTEC NSK4400 (described as a "Super Mini Tower") and I was immediately impressed by the "Advanced Chassis Airguide" which is located right over the Pentium 4 CPU. This is basically a plastic tube which connects to a grill on the side of the case allowing the standard Pentium 4 fan to suck fresh air directly onto the processor. While rendering a video, my CPU used to hit or exceed 60 degrees Celsius, but as I am typing now, I am also rendering and the temp is staying below 50 Celsius (well within the recommended range.)
The case is loaded with other features - I now have front panel access to USB 2.0 ports! The styling is clean and it is well built. Changing over my system took about 1/2 hour. There is a large 120mm rear fan (with 3 speeds) for cooling the motherboard and the built-in 380 watt power supply has its own fan. You can even add another 80mm fan inside the front if you really want more cooling!
I especially like the hard drive mounting using silicon rubber bushings to reduce noise. This case and power supply run much quieter than my old system. The CPU fan on my board is louder than all the case fans put together.
There is plenty of room to work inside the case when installing your system and that also means plenty of room to upgrade!
