After shopping around and listening to quite a few other units in all price ranges. The decision came down to sound and a head to head match with the Bose unit.
Once I played music in the iPod Hi-Fi with other shoppers there listening, we all walked out of the store with the Apple product under our arms.
I felt that low end sound was lacking in other units and the iPod Hi-Fi just sounded more pleasing.
I love that it's so simple, the remote doesn't have the same control as my video ipod, but I didnt really expect it to. Vol. & - , Skip forward and Back, Fast fwd & Rewind.
I cant wait to take it to the next work picnic, everyone will be waiting to plug in there iPod and play lists
