This NAS is a slug

Pros Easy to connect - no PC needed

Cons Could take a week to copy large amount of files in Raid 5 configuration!!!

Recommended it? No

Very disappointed with write speed in Raid 5 (factory default) configuration. Have read in other reviews that Raid5 is handled in software - hence to slow speeds. Have also read that if not configured in Raid 5, write speeds are better. This is my first experience with NAS, and I must say, a bad one. If this is what NAS is like, I'll save a bunch of money and hang a lot of 500gb USB or Firewire drives off of my servers - - MUCH MUCH faster.
