Much better than the original, but Knockout Kings is better
The original Contender was a really horrible game. It was pretty good for all of 3 or 4 hours, and then I got sick of it to the point that I didn't ever want to play it again. It was definitely a good game to rent for the weekend with a friend or two, but not one to buy.

If you like Mike Tyson Punchout and Punchout for SNES than this is the game for you! This game is worth $50 dollars to me! Solid Arcade action, much better than Ready to Rumble, and a big improvement from Contender 1. Get it! Very addictive!
