Amazing Mouse, Very Customizable
Pros
Great for left handed, very customizable, looks great, amazing lazer sensitivity
Cons
none
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This mouse is the mouse to get if you are a gamer.
I am a very hardcore gamer, and I am very happy with this mouse. The mouse is to replace my Microsoft InteleMouse 4.1. The mouse is much smoother, and fluent, then any previous mouse.
The Mouse Itself
I'll just start by saying how amazing the mouse looks. The blue color (mine) comes threw the sides and threw the scroll bar, and the razor symbol in the middle of the mouse (palm area). The mouse buttons even look cool to me.
The mouse was created with the ambidextrous quality in mind. The mouse has a great feel to it, the plastic is smooth along the top, with clear rough plastic on the side so your hand wont slip. There are a total of 7 buttons; left click, right click, scroll button, 2 extra of the left of the mouse, 2 on the right of the mouse. The 2 extra on the right side are almost inaccessible while gaming. The mouse is just the perfect height, and length for my hands (larger). The buttons don't seem as flimsy as with other mice. And the scroll wheel is not as loose as others either. The side buttons are slightly stiff, although it is defiantly easy enough to adjust to the stiffness. But as mentioned before the stiffness of the side buttons only makes the 2 extra buttons on the right side of the mouse harder to use.
The mouse is a 2000 dpi laser mouse, while the average mice are only 400dpi. Although many would think that this increases the sensitivity, while not is a game, this actually reduces the sensitivity greatly. The way 3D shooters are created is more like being in a bubble, were as this uses degrees to turn, and using other programs it goes by pixels on the screen. By using a high DPI, you skip more pixels/inch of moving the mouse instead of turning more of a degree in the game. This is more where the right side buttons come in handy. While in a game, or switching from a game back to my desktop, you can adjust one of the side buttons that are hard to access, to increase the DPI or reduce it. The variables go from 2000dpi-1600dpi-800dpi-400dpi.
The mouse has 32kilobits of memory in the mouse to keep the settings of the mouse from computer to computer. Great for people that have more than 1 computer, or go to LAN parties often. There is also a button on the mouse (bottom) that allows you to switch "profiles" during use. The Profiles are setup in the setup program (driver), and this button lets you switch without a driver installed on the computer, so you only are required to install the driver on one computer.
The Driver
The driver for this mouse allows you to setup your mouse with many different settings. The first aspect that I will mention is that it allows you to assign any button to do the following; click, menu (right click), universal scrolling, double click, assign a keyboard key, make a macro, adjust the dpi settings (straight to a dpi setting, increase or decrease), windows buttons 4 or 5, switch profiles (choose). This is the best mouse driver I have found ever.
The driver also allows you to adjust the polling rate of the mouse (the speed the computer picks up on the mouse movement). Adjustable to 125hz (8ms), 500hz (4ms), 1000hz (1ms). You can also pick the DPI setting there too.
For the hardcore, far beyond anyone I know. You can adjust the X-Y sensitivity individually. Also change the windows mouse sensitivity and mouse sensitivity on the driver(different than dpi). You can also set it so you can click down the mouse scroll button and move it up and down, and change the mouse driver sensitivity on the fly. While most gamers choose not to use mouse acceleration, you can pick to use that and adjust that too.
You can adjust all of these settings, plus a few others, for each profile. When you go to a different computer, all you will need to do is click the mouse button on the bottom, and it will change to the next profile (going up). The blue light will flash as many times as it is the profile, if it just changed to profile 5 it will flash 5 times.
Final Thoughts
This mouse is a very good mouse, and very customizable. The firmware is also upgradeable. If your a gamer you should get this mouse.
