Surprisingly Good
Epson is a printer manufacturer that has more of a loyal following for a customer base, rather than one based on overall quality. Update! Driver/Software Updates Have Improved This Camera
(Update: 4/24/07: A software/driver upgrade has dramatically improved the performance of this camera, nearly solving the lighting issue which was by far the biggest issue. don't buy this product - used 10 times and dead
I received an "Epson PictureMate personal photo lab" printer as a gift last year. It has been used about 10 times to print about 100 photos. This printer prints out awesome pictures!
Really good printer for the price. Why go to a photomat to develop pictures when you can do it at home? The only downside is that the biggest prints are 4x6 but that is all! Lighting and drivers hamper a good camera
Overall, the Logitech Ultra Vision appears to be a well designed web cam with thoughtful features that falls short on performance. PictureMate personal photo lab works like a charm.
I recently purchased the Epson PictureMate Personal Photo lab as a companion to my 3.2 Megapixel still digital camera. I have never owned a photo printer and had been using a deskjet printer to "proof" my images before going to the local Walgreens or Target store with a CD in hand.
