The Bottom Line:
I think this model is obsolete now but if you can find one on clearance its worth the price.
You can download the specs anywhere so here's the opinion.
I got this printer on clearance at Staples with a bunch of coupons and manouvering for ~150.00 which made it a bargain anyway you cut it.
I needed a printer to replace my HP4550 that was having all kinds of paper feed issues and the minolta seemed a good choice.
I particularly liked the built in networking capability, just plugged it into my router and was good to go once the drivers were installed.
From idle the printer comes on relatively quickly, at least a lot quicker than my HP that used to take about 12 minutes to start printing. With the minolta it spits out a sheet within 2-3 minutes of powering up.
I'd like the page tray to be a bit bigger, it only holds about 200 sheets bit for the format of the printer that is not bad.
Print quality on decent quality paper (>90 bright, 24lb) is really nice. I haven't tried it on coated paper as I have a photo-inkjet that I prefer for that but for quick proofing it is quite excellent.
Speed is pretty good but I don't really pay attention to that so much.
Overall an excellent printer. I've had it about 12 months now and never had a single problem, original toners still going strong.
Toner seems easy to get via the net or at Office Depot/Staples, runs about 50-70 per color.
