Cheap player that's incredibly easy to use...
Pros
Drag-and drop, simplicity, battery life, nice red/silver mix.
Cons
Some batteries work well than others, but no real problem.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
For beginners and exercise enthusiasts alike. Easy to use and easy to carry. A great product!
I have had this player (Lexar Media Player w/o SD card) for about two months now. I bought the model without cards because I have some leftover from my Panasonic SVAV20 camcorder (a review is available). Let me just say that this player is way too small for words! Any player that can hang from the headphones/earbuds without coming out of the jack is great to me! I can swing it about like I'm wearing a zoot suit and it's my pocketwatch with the extra long chain. But I digress...
The functions are as easy as you can get with this player. Basic skip and search as well as volume control are on the feature button. The Menu button can be used to change over tracks while seeing the title, and if you hold the button for a few ticks, you can change the EQ (5 presets) and play options (shuffle, repeat 1, repeat all). It took me a minute to figure out the stop button (a quick press of the power button) but it's really not necessary. Hitting pause and leaving it for a about 30 seconds will make the player cut off and when you cut it back on, it will go back to the beginning of the song, a feature that I didn't like that much but got over quickly. There is also a hold button that helps out when you stash your player in your pocket.
I am a HUGE fan of drag-and-drop and it gets no better than this. I was going to get the Creative MuVo (pick one!), but seeing price on the Lexar and the good reviews made me switch over and I am happy about the choice I've made. Downloading is a breeze (granted if you're on a good connection if downloading from online), and the files are as clear as spring water. The player does arrange the files alphabetically, but a quick click to shuffle files will do you just fine.
The USB cord that comes with the package works out and a quick plug here and there and you're good to go! If you don't want to travel with a USB cord with you (even though you'd have more than enough room instead of lugging a hard drive mp3 player), I would suggest buying a USB SD Card Reader. That way, you can take your friends mp3's and make them your own. I carry my Lexar player, card reader and earbuds and it feels like I'm light as air. The supplied earbuds are very comfortable for me and I've had no problems with static or burned out wires or whatever problems that may occur with packaged earbuds.
Now to the problem...battery life! If you do consider to purchase this product (which I strongly recommend), make sure you buy the best batteries! No knock-off brands, or dollar store batteries will do. I have noticed that when using some lesser known batteries (Kodak in my case), it will last less than the suggested 10 hour life that Lexar suggests. Also, when it gets around two bars, the player will cut off and often lose your place to whatever you were listening to and volume level. When using Energizers or Duracell's your battery life will be around 10 hours with no problems.
All in all, this is a great player with a great price that will do everything that you need it to do and nothing more. And that's all you really need, right?
