Logitech Cordless Desktop® LX 700 Keyboard and Mouse (967418-0403)

Switching from the Microsoft mouse and keyboard to the Logitech compo sold as the LX700 is quite a change. The keyboard contains a ton of buttons to customize. However if you prefer to disable certain keys, for me it is the Windows Start key on the left side of the keyboard, it doesn't give you that option. The keyboard is a very solidly built nice tool to work with. The feel when typing is excellent, outstanding even. Complaints would be the non standard placement of the Home - End and Delete keys between the key pad and the main board. Had Logitech laid out their keyboard in a normal fashion, so I wouldn't have to retrain my fingers, I would love it. Even accept the fact that to not have that stupid windows start key in the middle of my alt ctrl and shift keys where my left hand plays in visual editing programs, I would be keeping it. I've even considered just using a pair of pliers to rip that stupid key and the capos lock key out of the keyboard, but instead will return it and buy a less solid feeling, less pleasurable board to type on, but one more suited to my use of the computer. The accompanying mouse is excellent, a rather high priced combo, but the cost is apparent in the quality of the product.
