Purchased the X-540 computer speakers from Sam's Club after hearing an older/similar model at my parents house. This model includes 5 speakers (including the bass box). This product is convenient and superb.

The product packaging is secure and cleanly wrapped. The connectors are clearly labeled by color coding, simply match up the colored cord adaptors to the rear of the bass box. At first I didn't know where I would put the 2 rear speakers so I put them on a shelf above my desk (sound quality just enhanced vertically).

The speaker stands can easily be converted to wall mounts with a philips head screw driver and a 1/4 turn. The speakers are all black and visually compliment any new computer system.

The best component of this product is the volume control deck. It sits nicely on your desk and has a power on and off button, volume control, bass level and mute. There is also a headphone jack. No more breaking your back to lean over and adjust all these functions on the speaker, the control deck can fit just about anywhere on your desk and it's the size of credit card.

Now to the sound quality. I've had this product for well over a month and have yet to pump the volume up past 50%, I have no need since the loudness is perfect at about 40%. This is not to say the quality degrades past 50%, I just don't want to annoy my neighbors. The bass is deep and feels really nice at just about any level, of course this also depends on the quality of music you're playing.
