Microsoft Windows XP/VISTA Media Center Remote Control

I don't have XP Media Center Xp version. But since July of 2005 I have been beta testing Windows Vista. June of this year, I finally found a tv card that works with Vista Home Premium/Ultimate X86/X64.
I had been testing Media Center without a remote. A friend of mine had an extra remote and asked if I wanted, which I said of course. He sent it to me and told me -it's yours. Now I have no idea what kind of packaging is included or even a manual.
After installing 2 AA batteries in the remote, then plugging the IR reciever into one of my USB ports. Plug n play automatically installed the drivers for this hardware.
During the beta, it worked flawlessly, doing everything it was designed to do. There are 39 buttons which control all the functions of the Media Center.
With Vista Home Premium/Ultimate RTM, which you will be able to buy January of 2007, either on a OEM PC or as a Retail box , this Remote will control all functions of the Media Center part of Vista operating system.

Using

Not having a manual, I had to pretty much figure out the functions of the buttons, by reading the label's, not hard at all.
There is one big green button with the Windows Logo on it. Pressing it starts Media Center.
There are 7 buttons that can used for both the tv and dvd movies.
1 Play
2 Fast forward
3 Fast reverse
4 Skip forward
5 Skip backward
6 Pause
7 Stop
With Vista you can be watching tv and may have to go do something. You can pause the tv, go do what you have to. Then come back press play and continue watching your show. You can also set up the TV to record a TV show/movie.There are buttons for Videos-Music-Recorded TV Shows on your PC-Pictures that you have saved to the PC. There isalso a numercal pad so you can chose the TV channel.
There is also a button for the TV Guide.

This remote works with Media Center 2005 also Vista Home Premium/ Vista Ultimate X86/X64. There is not much more I can add.

I am currently writing a review on Vista Home Premium in which you will be able to see what all you can do on this Operating System.
