Clunky software - non-intuitive interface
I got this software for use on a cross country trip. The learning curve is steep. I couldn't believe that zooming in an out required using either the - keys or mousing over to the zoom toolbar. Very helpful--esp. away from the Internet--but annoying limitations
I have used Microsoft Streets and Trips for 3 years and enjoy it immensely. It has the benefits of the best online mapping tools (well, without the satellite overview), but you can take it with you.
