I recently received a new cell phone at work; the Motorola e815. This phone will be reviewed at a later date, but the important feature to this review is the fact that it comes with Bluetooth capability. That means that I now have the ability to use a wireless headset with my cell phone, which is a... Read full review »

My sister just got a new Bluetooth compatible phone (I forget what make and model) and the thing that caught my eye was this Motorola H500 wireless headset; I have wanted to get this for a while now and now was my chance to try it before I buy it. I tested this headset with my new LG VX8100 (also... Read full review »

Motorola H500 - good, but at this price?

Pros light, small, works
Cons I overpaid

For the past several months I have been jealous of the Bluetooth headset I bought for my wife. I picked it out. I set it up. I taught her how to use it. Yet she is walking around Bluetoothing with impunity while I am stuck using these crude hands to hold my phone. Now that I have a headset of my... Read full review »

Back in Black: Motorola matches H500 headset to my Black Razr

byltrain Oct 19, 2007

Pros Small, light, the right Bluetooth for first time users.
Cons Only two hours of talk time...a cross state drive will require a charge!
Recommended it? Yes

Every day I see people driving along holding a cell phone against their head with their hands and chatting away. Not only is this unsafe and illegal in some places, it's just plain cheesy. You wouldn't use a phone with a rotary dial at home so why live in the past in your car? Unless you want to... Read full review »

Motorola H500 Bluetooth vs. Motorola Razr V3m

Pros It's light, comfortable, and easy for anyone to use.
Cons Sometimes background noise makes you hard to hear.
Recommended it? Yes

I selected the H500 as my first Bluetooth because I wanted a Motorola product in hopes that it would make the interaction with my phone better and easier. The cost of the H500 was reasonable and the availability was no problem at all so I picked one up the day I bought my phone.

Ambient noise kills the usefulness of this headset

Pros Comfort - Value - Battery life - Sound quality
Cons Button confusion - Ambient noise filtering - volume selection
Recommended it? Yes

I got this in a tidy-little 'travel' package when I bought my Razr back in March (the package was only $70, and included the headset, car charger, and leather case/belt clip).

I'll start by saying that, overall, I am pleased with the usefulness of the headset. The sound is generally good,... Read full review »

Great headset to use in a SILENT room

I just recently had a trip from Washington to California come up, that I knew I was going to have to take alone and long duration drives are something, like most people, I need to be actively talking and keeping active in order to keep awake.

I found myself at a local mall buying a cell... Read full review »

Handy little gadget - just don't lose it!

Pros small, lightweight, barely notice it's there
Cons barely notice it's there - could be easy to lose.

Initially I was quite skeptical of the wireless headsets. Not that it's not worth it, I just couldn't see myself being one of "them" - the people wandering the streets looking like their not on the phone, but talking to themselves none-the-less. it was a little creepy.

And then I got a... Read full review »

Bluetooth headsets are pretty fancy looking pieces of hardware, but when it comes to features, functionality and all those other fun things – most Bluetooth devices are very similar.

This headset is very much a "generic Bluetooth headset".

With the trend toward mandating hands-free pieces going into law, and an upcoming trip to Chicago, I thought it was time to check into getting a device.

After reading another posting raving about how good it is supposed to be, I hit Ebay to see what was out there. They swore by this too,... Read full review »
