Wonderful phone
Pros
reception quality, sound quality, distance
Cons
ease of use- buttons aren't intuitive.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Not intuitive phone, but has a really great reception quality, and pretty long lasting battery. I've recently bought an additional one for my dad.
I've had this phone for about a year, and I can say it's the best phone I've ever had. Bought it used on Ebay in 2005. Sound is near perfect, like a land line. Never had any interferences, and the range was unbelievable.
Someone left the phone on my floor recently and it got stepped on and broken.
Now I'm trying to find replacement handsets on Ebay, but they're so expensive. Cost like a new phone. I've been in a bidding war on several and have always lost.
Seems like everyone wants additional handsets.
Perhaps because you can add up to 4, and most people buy one and later want to add more.
Unlike what I read online, this phone's battery lasted for much longer than all the other cordless phone's I've had in the past, and I've had a lot.
I also bought two additional handsets and they worked great with the main system. They had great reception and sound quality sounded just like talking into a landline.
It's very easy to use the system.
My only problem was the mailbox and the additional features which were not intuitive to use.
Another problem is that when you buy a spare phone it doesn't automatically work and it's complicated to get it to work with the base. Needs a lot of messing around to get it to work.
That said, I just bought an additional phone base for my dad.
All said and done, I still do like this phone, it's wonderful reception and all it has to offer.
Congratulations Panasonic.
There might be other phones out there who have additional bells and whistles- but as an overall, not too expensive system, that can be found extremely cheap on ebay and on other sites both new and used- this is is indeed one to consider.
For anyone who's not looking for lots of advanced features, and just want a good phone with good reception, this is indeed an option to look at.
Also, I really liked the feature the voice calling ID. I didn't have to look at the phone, just listen who's calling.
For some it's annoying, but I actually found it helpful.
