Pros Excellent sound, tons of items, different looks, skills, Ian Mckellan, movie clips.
Cons Not much of character interaction, a little easy, co-op mode.
Recommended it? Yes

Being the huge fan of the Lord of the Rings series that I am, I will pick up anything that has to do with it. Whether it is a game, movie, or music I will at least own it at one time or another. This is a different style of game not done yet using characters from Tolkein's world not seen in the... Read full review »

Pros Good story, lots of action
Cons A little too easy
Recommended it? Yes

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is a fun action/RPG from EA games that uses a turn-based combat system similar to the Final Fantasy series. Despite being slightly repetitive and a little too easy, this is a genuinely fun game with lots of options for building your characters.

The story... Read full review »

Pros Lord Of The Rings movie footage
Cons EVERYTHING ELSE!!
Recommended it? No

I'm in my mid-twenties and have been around since gaming began and have played many games among them RPGS like
LOTR the third age. I like to play RPGS and most of them are great games that draw you into a world with an epic story line which 99% of the time is old; save the world from an evil... Read full review »

Pros Excellent graphics, color, and environments
Cons Can be a struggle at times having to stop and fight every few steps
Recommended it? Yes

I originally purchased this game because of the graphics, I was not let down. The characters, their moves, and the environments are really cool. The controls don't take long to get used to, once I got used to it I couldn't stop playing.

In the game you control one character that runs... Read full review »

Game is alright for a while it is increadibly long so there lots of playing time involved to finish the game. That is if you ever finish the game. I just got it and i played it for about ten hours so far and it says im only 6% done and im already thinking about breaking the game in half. The... Read full review »

The Lord of The Rings: Better find the book

byfcasas Jun 7, 2005
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros The graphics are very good.
Cons Lame plot, endless and boring battles.
Recommended it? No

When I bought the game, I thought this would be the mother of all RPG, but to my disappointment, it falls short in every count. The story is poorly developed (which is incredible since it is based in such a great novel); the battles are completely unbalanced, and, after a little while, you can find... Read full review »

Pros Stunning Graphics, Easy to pick up.
Cons Repetitive battle monsters.

This, so far, has been my favorite LotR game yet. I was in Wal*mart one day, (early morning technically) I was actually looking for Need for Speed Underground 2, when I saw this game. I purchased it without any thought. I had started playing and didn't quit until I realized it was very late (very... Read full review »
