I have use this subject in my barebone from Shuttle. Little case, so cool (I mean not hot) CPU is needed for operation quietly. I satisfied with Athlon 64 completely, it is strong enough and my funs remains surprisingly quiet. And it is work faster than even more expensive models from Pentium 4...

Easy to overclock, runs cool, doesn't use much energy.

May require a large hsf replacement, as the stock HSF is not very good.
