Pros Increased performance
Cons Moisture causing damage to hardware
Recommended it? No

Some of us overclockers have resorted to another type of cooling system, which consists of an electrically powered, active-cooling pad/heat sink mounted on the CPU. Known as a peltier cooler, the unit utilizes a heat-pump transfer method of cooling the CPU surface. Simply put, one side of the... Read full review »

Celeron II ? Overview
The new Celerons (Celeron II) are essentially a Pentium III with half of the L2 Cache disabled. Like the PIII, the new Celerons even include Intel?s SSE instructions. This can really speed up applications/games that make use of these instructions. The new Celerons are the... Read full review »

Unable to enjoy the AMD 64 bit chip

byctwilson Oct 30, 2005
2 Helpfuls 3 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros AMD literature says it will work real fast
Cons No hardware compatibility.
Recommended it? No

I purchased this chip over a year ago with an ASUS A8V-E-Deluxe motherboard. To date, with the exception of an ATI video card, I've been unable to find any hardware drivers for even the most simple name-brand peripherals. For example, my HP 5590 scanner and HP LaserWriter are less that a year old... Read full review »
