Pros Affordable, low-profile capable, no problems for me
Cons Not a performance part, no LED hookups for standard ATX cases

I purchased this controller card with the intentions of creating a RAID 5 array from four Western Digital WD6400AAKS drives, and wasn't dissapointed.  Right off the bat, it's pretty clear that this controller card isn't one that's going to break any benchmarks; a hardware RAID card is going to cost... Pros zero advantages over a $20 PCI adapter.
Cons Buggy, buggy, buggy. Avoid.

The day I installed the highpoint rocketraid 2310, my windoz xp machine started crashing frequently and numerous programs behaved strangely. Firefox crashes when downloading files and can not be killed except with a reboot. Real Player saturates 1 CPU and does nothing but can be killed. Sleep mode... Read full review »
