This monitor has a wider viewing angle, which allows users to view the screen from various positions without compromising image quality. The higher contrast ratio generates sharper, crisper lines and images. Fast response times provide superior clarity for moving images with "no ghosting". Premium brightness allows for brilliant images with blacker blacks and richer colors. The answer for the computer addict with a budget

bymurdre05 Aug 22, 2003

Pros Crisp and clear, simple and space-saving design
Cons SLIGHT ghosting in games, if any at all
Recommended it? Yes

I must confess that I spend much more time staring at the computer screen every day than I should. After staring at a CRT (a poor one, at that) for extended periods of time, I would begin to feel a slight strain on my eyes. When it came time to purchase a new computer, I decided to go with a... Dell's UltraSharp TFT's Have Raised The Bar!

Pros Very clear, large, and stylish. Easy on the eyes.
Cons Expensive.
Recommended it? Yes

Just like many people in the world today, I am an avid computer user. So much so that I spend most of any given day in front of a computer monitor. By spending so much time in front of a monitor, I made myself vulnerable to eye strain and other facial discomforts. Thus I was left with two choices,... Read full review »

A real LCD monitor with good color.

Recommended it? Yes

To point; if you have not experienced computing with a 30" monitor then your missing one of the essentials of life. A 22" is tiny and a 24" is dismal compared to the real estate a 30" LCD monitor provides. Never mind the less expensive LCD TV's that some use as a computer monitor with low... Read full review »

Great Display with Abysmal Connectivity

byf4phantomii Feb 9, 2009
11 Helpfuls 12 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Great hi-res display, plenty of brightness even next to a large window.
Cons Only one DVI input, and dismal 1280x800 resolution over any single-link DVI connection.
Recommended it? No

This Dell 30-inch widescreen display used to be their flagship monitor.  By all standards it was huge, with a breathtaking 2560x1600 resolution that is actually better than human 20/20 vision.

It offers tons of screen real estate for engineers, CAD software, and graphics... Read full review »
