FlatOut is an adrenaline-inducing racing game with an exciting story line, spectacular crashes and a not-too-serious attitude in the best movie-like fashion. The thrill and terror of racing light, cheap and often very dented cars in constant close proximity and contact with other cars brings out the white-knuckled racing spirit as the player faces rapidly changing situations. If media hype is right, then Halo: Combat Evolved is one of the most anticipated games for 2003. After all the success that made the XBox what it is, Halo comes to 'save' the PC. (Nevermind that this category should be actually under Computergames instead of Videogames as it is right now.)

I am not usually known for my great passion for car racing games. The Need for Speed series never grabbed me and Colin McRae never really did much for me either, so it was a bit of a surprise when a friend introduced me to Flat Out and my initial reaction was a positive one.
