A 2TB (terabyte) system can now be achieved with just four standard form factor ATA drives. This capacity milestone enhances system reliability by reducing the number of drives needed to support the most demanding applications. The Deskstar 7K500 is the second generation Deskstar drive to enable the host system to optimize storage of data. I have had a Deskstar drive in my computer since 2000 when I bought my first 120GB Deskstar which back then was made by IBM. This new Deskstar is not the same in any way being much larger in capacity and having the Serial ATA interface which also makes it much faster. I still have the 120GB... Read full review »
