With Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2, you get safer browsing and communication, powerful security tools, and improved experiences. Packed with multimedia features, Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 aims to unlock the full potential of your personal computer. It also looks great, with rounded window corners, larger and more detailed icons, and a clean-look desktop. Windows XP is more customizable than previous versions, including its visual themes that let you change the whole appearance of Windows in an instant. Fast User Switching is a neat feature for computers used by more than one person--it lets another user log on without killing the previous user's session, and when you switch back, running applications and open documents are as you left them. This is impressive, but what really counts is that XP understands how to deal with multiple users. Each user has their own special folders, such as My Documents, which cannot be seen by other users. Pros Secure, stable, automatically updates itself and great compatibility
Cons Too many updates. Activation and re-activation can be a pain sometimes.
Recommended it? Yes

Microsoft launched its latest operating system in October of 2001. It has been over five years and we still haven't seen a new OS from Microsoft on the market yet. Microsoft has religiously released a new Windows version every two or three years since 1992, so why the big delay in a new Operating... Read full review »

Cons Activation requirement can be a pain if you change hardware.
Recommended it? Yes

I've had windows xp on several machines, home edition that is. Had lots of mysterious little problems with home edition because I change hardware fairly often. The last time I rebuilt my main machine I decided to spring for a copy of professional. Microsoft would have you believe that home edition... Read full review »

Microsoft Windows XP is a very good OS and far better than many of Microsoft's previous Operating Systems. It is based on both Windows NT and Windows 2000. It is much more stable than Windows 95 or Win 98 or even Windows Millennium Edition. More security features and many other new thingshave been... Read full review »

Pros A lot of software and hardware works. The "devil" users know.
Cons Cost. Poor security. Customers treated almost like crooks.
Recommended it? No

First, what's wrong with Microsoft Windows? Just a few things I don't like:
-The virus problem.
-The feeling that Microsoft treats its... Read full review »
