Pros Outstanding sound quality and specs, 24/96 recording and playback, solid drivers.
Cons No mic preamp, built-in MIDI synth or surround sound features -- not for gamers.

Cons Almost nothing, except ....no break out box, less number of I/O

Audiophile 2496 is an affordable and very reliable card. If you are into music and looking for a way to start computer recording which "everyone is talking about..." Go get an audiophile 2496 first. Pros low CPU usage, very good mac support, great price/performance
Cons this is playback device, need better card for composing music.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought this for my PowerMac G4 tower, really sweet. same audio rules apply, crap in crap out, so I don't want to hear a review about someone mp3 collection, blah blah... HEHE.
