In the grand racing tradition of Excitebike, get ready for a big-air experience like no other as players rocket their trucks across dynamically changing terrain. Remember tilting your arms to try to make your character land a huge jump? That experience is finally a reality with Excite Truck, a wild, off-road race in which players hold the Wii Remote like an NES controller to control the truck. The 2 button is the accelerator, the 1 button is the brake, the + Control Pad is the turbo. Tilt the Wii Remote right and left like a steering wheel to steer. Once the truck goes airborne, tilt the Wii Remote every which way to line up perfect landings for turbo boosts. Pick up items on the courses to make the terrain deform in real time, turning innocent bumps into massive launch pads that affect not only the player's route, but that of his or her rivals. Players jump and bump their way to the highest score and highest finish. Less

Pros The game is a ton of fun.
Cons Extremely short. Levels could have used some more diversity.
Recommended it? Yes

Excite Truck is the sequel to the 1985 classic Excitebike. Yeah, you're right, it is a lot different than the NES game. Heck, it's like saying that Madden NFL 2007 is the sequel to a little game that came out the same month and year as Excitebike by the name of Baseball. There is almost nothing... Read full review »

Pros Fun
Cons Conrolls take getting used to - try the tutorial first.
Recommended it? Yes

One of the first games we purchased for the Wii was Excite Truck, mainly because both my youngest son and I love racing games and he thought it looked neat.

Excite Truck is a good showcase for the new Wii Remote and makes it a bit more challenging for a racing game, but still loads of... Read full review »

Super Smash Brothers Brawl: The game where Mario can take a bat to Sonic's cranium.

Pros online play, tons of unlockables, simple but deep gameplay
Cons duplicate characters, looks a lot like melee, bogus story
Recommended it? Yes

With some games, it takes an investment in order to appreciate what a game is all about. I originally was going to pass on Super Smash Brothers Brawl because I didn't put that original investment into Super Smash Brothers Melee. While these two games aren't hard to simply pick up and play, I knew... Read full review »

Pros Intense and Fun, Absolutely Jam Packed With Content
Cons Online Play Isn't All That Great
Recommended it? Yes

Super Smash Bros. began as a popular game on the Nintendo 64. This title threw Nintendo's own characters into a casual yet frantic fighting game and certainly has it's fair share of fans. When the game's sequel Smash Bros. Melee released on the Nintendo Gamecube Smash Bros. became a series - and... Read full review »
