Pros uncorrectable image distortion. Awkward controls. few resolutions supported
Cons Cheap quality as are most CRTs now.
Recommended it? No

Poor quality monitor. Doesn't support any 3 to 4 ratio except 800x600 and 1600x1200, neither of which, i find usable. Viewing image is distorted on top and bottom and cant be corrected. Returned first and second one is only marginally better than the first. The OSD position cant be moved making it... Read full review »

Pros Excellent quality, best I've ever seen. Reliable.
Cons It's big (becauase it's a CRT).
Recommended it? Yes

I don't know who wrote that last review but they obviously are confused.  This monitor supports several 3:4 ratio setups including 1024 x 768, 1792 x 1344, 1856 x 1392, 1920 x 1440, 640 x 480, 800 x 600, and  1152 x 864.  Perhaps the last guy doesn't excel at math. Pros Inexpensive.  Great picture.  No dead pixels.  Includes speakers.  Bright, clear display.
Cons None that I can think of. 
Recommended it? Yes

I had been searching for an inexpensive, yet high quality LCD computer monitor.  After reading several websites, I had my eye on a Dell S2409W, and was prepared to pay $280 at Costco.
