If you think puzzle games need an infusion of action from the STREET FIGHTER universe, then you should go and get a copy of SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER II TURBO. You can pick a character from the STREET FIGHTER games like Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li. After picking a character, you will have to arrange blocks in a bin such that like-colored blocks form rectangles and squares of at least four blocks. Eventually, a crash crystal will drop allowing you to eliminate some of the crystals. If you plan ahead, you can create chain reactions that will make your life a lot easier. When you get rid of a group of crystals, they are placed into your opponent's bin, and when someone's bin is full, the game is over. That Game Before HydroThunder...

Pros Game runs at 60 fps and very similar to the later HydroThunder.
Cons The control is tough and the boats spin out on bad landings.
Recommended it? Yes

Hmmm... it doesn't seem like Midway's HydroThunder was an original concept at all. In fact, this game, published by Sony in 1998, is very similar to that game.
