I really liked the elite better than the original 360 because it did improve some features. Although the elite is still to loud for me it is not as loud as our original 360. I had the xbox 360 elite but it got the red ring about a year ago and I recently (3 months) got this new xbox 360 with Kinect.  There are no noticeable difference in the quality of the games.  Everything works extremely well so far and the new Kinect is better than I expected it to be...
